With a view to visitor target groups, exhibitors, products, services or innovations, a trade fair is always a reflection of an industry. Such a reflection can, however, be conceived of or further developed on the green table of trade fair companies alone. Here, intensive and permanent dialogue with representatives and multipliers of the industry is required.
This constant feedback is always organised in interplay with a trade fair company and convenes in a representatively filled fair advisory board of exhibitors. For the Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) as the founder and industry sponsor of aquanale – International Trade Fair for Sauna. Pool. Ambience., it was just as important as for Koelnmesse to convene a representatively filled fair advisory board.
The success story of aquanale also proves this decision right.
The continuous growth of the aquanale, the related required changes for the choice of the halls on the fair grounds in Cologne or changes to the sequence of the trade fair days or the opening hours of aquanale always took place over the past nearly 20 years at the initiative of or in close consultation with the aquanale fair advisory board, often also together with the fair advisory board of the International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities (FSB), which takes place parallel.
However, the constructively critical balance of each aquanale edition shortly after the event was a proven standard in the fair advisory board from the beginning, which brought the trade fair format of aquanale to the level recognised by exhibitors and visitors.
Also important was the optimal national and international networking of the members of the advisory board with all value creation levels, but also with operators in the swimming pool and wellness industries – in the private and the public sectors. Since its founding, Chairman of the aquanale fair advisory board has been Bert Granderath (managing director at grando GmbH), who is at the same time Vice President of the bsw and currently also president of the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations (EUSA).
Special note: the next aquanale takes place from 26 – 29 October 2021. It is the 10th edition of aquanale. The trade fair event, known worldwide in the swimming pool and wellness industry, is celebrating its anniversary.
The International Trade Fair for Sauna, Pool, Ambience will fill Halls 7 and 8 in October 2021 with the themes of private swimming pools, public pool construction, swimming pool technology, saunas and spas (both public and private) and green living. In the process, aquanale 2021 aims to build on its outstanding results from November 2019: the 2019 event convinced with renewed increasing internationality and improved quality in both supply and demand. Nearly 28,000 visitors from 128 countries attended to find out about the range of services offered by the 281 exhibiting companies from 31 countries.
