The aquanale press team at Koelnmesse had put together the European trade press distribution list a few months before the trade fair premiere in autumn 2003, together with the Federal Swimming Pool & Wellness Association (bsw). Then there were phone calls with the individual editorial offices, especially abroad, in order to establish initial personal contact. The first press statements were formulated in good time, images were selected and the press kits were compiled in German and English.
On June 11th, 2003 there was an invitation to a press conference exclusively for the specialist press editors from Eastern Europe and for two weeks the press conference for the specialist editors from Western Europe took place in the Sports Museum in Cologne together with the representatives of the FSB – International Trade Fair for Open space, sport and exercise facilities take place.
In addition to Cologne and Berlin, Vienna, Amsterdam and Therme Erding in Bavaria were also the location for the specialist press conferences of aquanale and FSB. In addition to data and facts about the upcoming trade fair, industry trends and the content of the trade fair framework programs, current market data were always presented at the press meetings.
This Year, the traditionell dialogue with the media took place a few Months before the start of the trade fair at a digital press conference with Matthias Pollmann, Business Unit Manager at Koelnmesse and Ute Wanschura, Managing Director of the Federal Swimming Pool & Wellness Association (bsw) from an RTL studio in Cologne.
Between the official press conferences, the aquanale team and the bsw office maintained a dialogue with the editors of the European trade press at other trade fairs, for example in Lyon, Bologna, Barcelona, Moscow Coventry or Kiev or at association events.
The bsw is also in regular contact with numerous media representatives with its social media accounts on Twitter, Xing, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or LinkedIn as there are many journalists and editors among the more than 20.000 followers, friends and contacts in more than 60 countries.
Special notice: The next edition of aquanale will be hosted from 26 to 29 October 2021. It is the tenth edition of aquanale. The globally renowned trade fair within the swimming pool and wellness industry will therefore be celebrating its anniversary.
In October, the International Trade Fair for Sauna. Pool. Ambience, will occupy Halls 7 and 8. aquanale will include the topics of private swimming pools, public pool construction, swimming pool technology, saunas and spas (both public and private) and green living.
